"The Tale of the Three Brothers"

Before any further retooling of this page (now that we have a new canon name to the story and additional content we weren't anticipating before the comic came out), a couple things to figure out . . .

Shall this prose story be considered its own separate "episode" from the individual issues it accompany? And if we do, will it be considered one episode (aka one wiki page) kinda like it is right now, or multiple episodes because of the parts (however they might land differently from the canon-in-training story we are used to), but also because they will be released in separate, future issues of Dark Ages (and who knows how it'll be presented in the hopeful collected trade).

At the moment I prefer treating "The Tale of the Three Brothers" as its own separate episode from the Dark Ages main story, and keeping it to one page, but I'd like to hear from other folks before the page gets toggled further (not to mention the links to it that will need adjustment). --Pheon (talk) 16:27, 12 July 2023 (PDT)

Personally, I lean towards actually letting this page continue more or less in its original form. Almost like a piece of fan history. And the written sections belonging to their respective chapters of the comic. Not putting my foot down on it or anything, just think what is in a book is part of that book. Weisman is putting certain things in certain books for reasons of his own. I don't see why we should pull pieces of each apart and make a separate entry for them. -- Matt (talk) 12:32, 13 July 2023 (PDT)
Agreed. --GregX (talk) 13:18, 13 July 2023 (PDT)
Ok. So for further clarification, a detail from the Three Brothers prose that needs citing on a character's page will be cited with the Dark Ages title; i.e., ("The Reach") Further, any remaining CIT will still be cited with this page, with the momentum that (hopefully) all CIT from the 1997 prose will eventually be covered in the 2023 canon stories. That all makes sense. From that point, what'll distinguish this page from the canon episodes will be the historical background from S8 plus any details that might be potentially contradictory (i.e., like 2009's Percival/Duval curiosity) and/or remnant CIT details. Also makes sense.
It's really a separate thought, but I might suggest that, as more issues come out and we better see the trajectory of the prose story, the summaries might better work on the individual Dark Ages episodes pages, as a subsection to the main story's summary, updated with the framing device where Shari is narrating. Just feels a bit less redundant. --Pheon (talk) 14:02, 13 July 2023 (PDT)
