The Gathering of the Gargoyles is an annual convention run by fans, for fans.

The first Gathering was hosted by Mae Li, in 1997, at the Mayflower Hotel in New York City. Since then, the Gathering has grown and traveled around North America.

In 2004, events of the Gathering were filmed and included on the Gargoyles: The Complete First Season DVD release.

The Gathering of the Gargoyles was run by The Gathering of the Gargoyles, Inc under its president, Jennifer L. Anderson.

Annual Gathering Events

Radio Play

Every year, fans attending the Gathering of the Gargoyles enjoy the Radio Play. Attendees audition for parts and those chosen get to perform alongside the special guest voice actors. The scripts range from "Gargoyles" episode and comic scripts to scripts from other shows Greg Weisman has worked on to unproduced show and pilots.

Radio Play Scripts from Past Gatherings

  • 1998 - RAIN OF THE GHOSTS (an unproduced pilot written by Greg Weisman and adapted in 2013 into a the first in a planned series of seven novels.)
  • 1999 - THE ROSWELL CONSPIRACIES (a rejected pilot written by Greg Weisman)
  • 2000 - ROUGHNECKS: THE STARSHIP TROOPERS CHRONICLES (the last arc of the series, which Greg Weisman story edited, half of which was unproduced. Written by Greg Weisman, Jon Weisman Lydia Marano, Cary Bates and Michael Reaves.)
  • 2001 - GARGOYLES: "Hunter's Moon Part Three" (The first Gargoyles related Radio Play. This included scenes that were cut for time from the original. Written by Michael Reaves.)
  • 2002 - TEAM ATLANTIS: "The Last" (Unproduced episode featuring Demona and Fiona Canmore, written by Greg Weisman)
  • 2003 - GARGOYLES: "The Reckoning" (Performed in honor of Gary Sperling, who co-wrote the script with Lydia.)
  • 2004 - GARGOYLES: "The Journey" (Greg Weisman's uncut version of the script)
  • 2005 - DOC SHAKESPEARE (An unproduced pilot written by Greg Weisman and Sam Bernstein)
  • 2006 - GARGOYLES: "The Mirror" (written by Lydia Marano and Brynne Chandler Reaves)
  • 2007 - GARGOYLES: "Clan Building, Chapters III, IV & V: Invitation Only, Masque & Bash" - (from the comic, premiering chapter V before it was published. Written by Greg Weisman)
  • 2008 - GARGOYLES: "Clan Building, Chapters VII, VIII & IX: The Rock, Rock and Roll & Rock of Ages" - (from the comic, premiering chapter IX before it was published, and told in chronological order. Written by Greg Weisman)
  • 2009 - "Religious Studies 101: A Handful of Thorns" (An original The Spectacular Spider-Man & Gargoyles crossover. Written by Greg Weisman and the only Radio Play originally written for the Gathering)
  • 2014 - "Recruits" (An original The Spectacular Spider-Man, Young Justice & Gargoyles crossover. Written by Greg Weisman and the only Radio Play originally written for CONvergence)
