James Avery voiced the Shaman in "Walkabout." But he is perhaps best known for playing Phillip "Uncle Phil" Banks in "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."
Prior to Gargoyles, he voiced Shredder on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon (which also included regular voice work from Cam Clarke, Rob Paulsen and Pat Fraley).
