Japan

Japan is an island nation in East Asia. The Japanese village Ishimura served as a stop for the Avalon World Tour. Vinnie Grigori took a security job offered by Taro in Japan in 1996. It will also serve as a location visited by Brooklyn during his adventures as the Timedancer.

Japan is home to one gargoyle clan, the Ishimura Clan.

Real World History

Japan, or as it is locally known, Nihon or Nippon, officially Nihon-koku or Nippon-koku, is located in the Pacific Ocean. It lies to the east of China, Korea, and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea in the south. The kanji characters that make up Japan's name mean "sun-origin," which is why Japan is sometimes identified as the "Land of the Rising Sun." Its capital and largest city is Tokyo.
