Pendragon was one of six proposed spin-offs for Gargoyles, for which the episode "Pendragon" was a back-door pilot. A six issue miniseries of Pendragon is due to begin in October 2008, depending on the success of Gargoyles: Bad Guys.[1]
In the series, King Arthur and Sir Griff embark on their quest for Merlin, visiting such places as Tintagel, Stonehenge, and even the South Pole. Along the way, they gain for a companion the Lady Blanchefleur, Sir Percival's estranged wife. Arthur and his companions would have engaged in a number of clashes with the Illuminati and particularly Duval (no doubt connected to Duval's true identity as Sir Percival, an erstwhile associate of Arthur's and knight of the Round Table). They would also have encountered the Stone of Destiny again, in an episode reflecting its real-life return to Scotland in 1996.
