I was Broadway in the Radio Play, and I delivered that line. - Greg B

On Broadway's cameo in "Spectacular Spider-Man"; I saw two Broadway-like gargoyles in the shot in the beginning and one Hudson. Didn't see one that looked like Goliath. That's not to say this wasn't the case, but are we sure there was a Goliath in that shot? (I don't suppose anyone taped it and has the capabilities to make a screenshot.) -- Demonskrye 09:18, 9 March 2008 (CDT)

There was a Goliath. He had extra horns and no hair, but the face was very much Goliath.
I dunno. I checked the scene on YouTube and as far as I can tell, there's a gargoyle who looks very much like Hudson and two identical gargoyles who look rather like Broadway. I don't see how either of them looks more like Goliath than the other. (There's also a fourth gargoyles, but you never see its head.) If the rest of the wiki editors think there are three individual gargoyles, I won't contest it. But I really don't see that one of the gargoyles looks anything like Goliath. -- Demonskrye 06:42, 10 March 2008 (CDT)
I'm not sure if there is any need for individual gargoyles to be identified at all, particularly on those gargoyles' pages. How about either putting a section on Greg Weisman's page about references/parodies he has done in other works (WITCH, JLA, The Spectacular Spider-man, etc.) OR simply create a new page dealing with references/parodies. I mean, whatever those gargoyles look like, the one that looks like Broadway ISN'T Broadway, so why mention it on Broadway's page? -- Matt 07:46, 10 March 2008 (CDT)
I have a higher rez download, and the third gargoyle definitely resembles Goliath more than Broadway, he just has extra horns and no hair. But it's his face and ears. I checked with Jennifer "CrzyDemona" Anderson, who is a Post Production Assistant on the show, and she confirmed it. -- Greg B
Just to re-confirm this, the last statue is very Goliath. I've seen this scene frame by frame in the edits room at Sony (with Greg Weisman in the room with me). It's definitely big G. --CrzyDemona 00:19, 11 March 2008 (CDT)
OK, in addition to a majority of editors agreeing that it's Goliath (or, in light of the recent Ask Greg answers - a stone gargoyle that looks like Goliath), I'll accept confirmation from someone who worked on the show. Are we talking about the last fully visible gargoyle or the last one Spidey walks over? I thought the very last one (facing right) was cut off before you could see the face, but then again, I can't stillframe the scene. Anyway, as I said to Greg W, the show looks great and you should be very proud of your role in it. -- Demonskrye 07:11, 11 March 2008 (CDT)
I quite like the idea of putting all the parodies and references in their own designated articles, but making a "Parodies/References" page seems a bit... tacked on. Maybe we should consider making pages for all the shows that reference the show separately, e.g. a W.I.T.C.H. article, a The Spectacular Spider-Man article, etc. W.I.T.C.H. would be especially good, since the references now work both ways.
This way, we could add a link in the Broadway article (and the Hudson and Goliath articles, I guess) to The Spectacular Spider-Man, where all the references in that show are listed in full.
There is a list of relevant references at Wikipedia. It's just a thought, anyway. -- Supermorff 07:02, 11 March 2008 (CDT)
