Tibet

Tibet is a region in Central Asia, occupying the Tibetan Plateau which is north of the Himalayas. It was one of the stops on the Avalon World Tour.

History

Following the events of "High Noon", Coldstone travelled to Tibet in an attempt to protect his family from his Iago personality. While there he encountered an order of Buddhist monks whose head, Master Dawa, helped Coldstone control the Iago persona.

Goliath, Elisa Maza, Angela and Bronx visited Tibet on June 18, 1996 as part of the Avalon World Tour. They encountered Coldstone, but he still refused to endanger his family by returning to Avalon with them and, pretending to be under Iago's control, he rendered them unconscious. The Avalon travelers were then sent by unknown means to Shambahla. ("Reunion")

Later, David Xanatos tracked Coldstone down in the Himalayas and captured him using Steel Clan robots. ("Possession")

Real world background

Today, Tibet is a part of the People's Republic of China, although the Tibetan Government in Exile (headed by the Dalai Lama) considers this Chinese administration as an illegitimate military occupation.

Tibet is the center of Tibetan Buddhism.
