The Warwolf was a trebuchet used by Edward I during his invasion of Scotland in the late 13th century. ("Rock of Ages")
Real World Background
The Warwolf was one of several trebuchets in Edward I's army; others were named Gloucester, Parson, Segrave and Vicar. He employed it at the siege of Stirling Castle in 1304. (Since the garrison surrendered before he got to use it, he ordered some of the defenders back into the castle afterwards,just to see it in action; he demolished the castle gatehouse with it.)
