Marc Perlman was the music editor for Gargoyles. The show didn't have the budget for Carl Johnson to score every episode in the series, so Marc was brought on to edit any preexisting theme in the Gargoyles music library and adapt it to any situation. [1] Greg Weisman writes that the two were a great team, even though they were "rarely in the same room together". [2]
In 1999, Marc Perlman married Gargoyles' publicist Laurel Whitcomb, having met each other at the series premiere party. [3]
Perlman was also the dialogue editor for the Darkwing Duck episode "Smarter Than a Speeding Bullet", and a music editor for Bonkers, Aladdin, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and Kim Possible.
