Walt Disney's World on Ice

Walt Disney's World on Ice was a figure-skating ice show produced by Kenneth Feld. It first debuted in October 1995. The characters Goliath, Broadway, Brooklyn, and Hudson were featured during the show's second act in the penultimate scene to battle the forces of Fantasia's Chernobog. [1]

Unlike other Disney on Ice tours touring at the time (dedicated to Aladdin, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and Beauty and the Beast, respectively), this production featured vignettes from not only five separate Disney feature animated films (The Jungle Book, 101 Dalmatians, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, and Fantasia), but also featured characters from the Disney Afternoon, specifically Goof Troop (and its tie-in film, A Goofy Movie) and Gargoyles. [2][3] Despite the random assortment of Disney properties, the show featured a storyline that followed Goofy's son, Max, attempting to be a Sorcerer's Apprentice like Mickey Mouse. [4]

Keith David received a voice credit in the program. However, Gargoyles was only featured in Walt Disney's World on Ice's first season. [5] All remaining elements to the Disney Afternoon were removed from the show after the 1996-1997 season. [6]
