Tony Jay (2 February 1933 -- 13 August 2006) was an English actor who provided the voice of Anubis in the episode "Grief". He was well known for his deep and distinctive voice, which he lent to numerous video games, television series and films, including Disney's Beauty and the Beast and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Tony voiced Virgil on Mighty Max, which also included voice work from Rob Paulsen, Tim Curry, Frank Welker, Kath Soucie, and Tress MacNeille.
