The Grey Gargoyle first appeared in Journey into Mystery #107 (Aug. 1964) and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Paul Pierre Duval was a French chemist whose right hand was transformed into stone following a chemical accident, granting the ability to petrify anything it touched.
Ed Gilbert voiced the Grey Gargoyles in Season 1 of the 1994 Iron Man animated series.
