Italy is a country in Southern Europe. It was the heart of the Roman Empire and both Rome and Florence are located in the country. Many of William Shakespeare's plays take place in Italy, including Romeo and Juliet (with settings in Verona and Mantua), and Othello (which is set in Venice).
