The Fake Excalibur is an ordinary sword with an extraordinary scabbard.
History
The sword was sheathed in the folded wings of the Stone Dragon. Given that it was positioned to be partially inserted into the stone sculpture, it served as a decoy from the true Excalibur for anyone who knew the legends of the Stone of the Sword. When King Arthur Pendragon had it in his grasp, he realized it was fake and shattered the blade on the body of the Stone Dragon which led to the timeless king figuring out the true sword was hidden within the Stone Dragon. ("Pendragon")
Characteristics
The sword was, in appearance, identical to the true Excalibur, with engravings on the hilt and blade. Despite the similarities, Arthur Pendragon noticed the deception, because it lacked whatever powers the true sword is imbued with. [1]
