Walter Elias Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American animator, film producer, voice actor, and entrepreneur. A pioneer of the American animation industry, he introduced several developments in the production of cartoons. He founded what became The Walt Disney Company with his brother, Roy Disney.
When an older Disney artist approached Greg Guler expressing skepticism that Gargoyles should even be made, Guler told him that Walt Disney was always pushing the envelope and trying new things.
