First Hunter

I don't know if he necessarily should be called the 'first' Hunter . . . I mean, sure he was no friend of any gargoyles and yeah, he sure did inspire Gillcomgain with the Hunter's Moon and mask-thing . . . but Constantine never had that 'single-minded' mentality devoted for just one gargoyle, as Gillcomgain and the entire Canmore family did. --Pheon 21:35, 13 August 2009 (CDT)

Canmore didn't have that single minded mentality either. He just wanted to overthrow Macbeth and become king. Destroying the gargoyles was just a bonus. --GregX 21:36, 13 August 2009 (CDT)
Well, I'll give you that d: Hmmm . . . --Pheon 21:37, 13 August 2009 (CDT)
Yes, but by the time of Duncan, the identity of 'the Hunter' had already been established. Duncan merely took up the mask. Constantine did his part to create the first Hunter, but I think even the comic makes it clear that Gillecomgain was the first Hunter when Constantine tells him to "be a Hunter for your King". And keep in mind that Macbeth wore the Hunter's mask himself for a time, though he is not considered a Hunter. -- Matt 07:57, 14 August 2009 (CDT)
For what it's worth, I consider Constantine to be a proto-Hunter or Ur-Hunter. Not the first Hunter. To me, that's Gillecomgain. I do acknowledge however, that this is open to interpretation.--Gweisman 16:31, 14 August 2009 (CDT)
