Pharaoh
Pharaoh was a ruler of ancient Egypt.
History
One Pharaoh of Egypt, at the time of Moses, was the father of Scota, and gave her hand in marriage to the Athenian prince Gathelus in return for his services in battle.
Real-World Background
"Pharaoh" is the familiar title of the kings who ruled over ancient Egypt. It derives from the Egyptian words "per aa", meaning "great house" or "palace" (an ancient Egyptian counterpart, apparently, to the use of the term "White House" to refer to the U.S. presidential administration as well as to the literal building).
