Jay Fukuto
Jay Fukuto was the Director for Current Programing for Walt Disney Television Animation, one of the new executives to oversee scripts for Gargoyles after Greg Weisman stepped down as an executive after the first season. [1]
He was one of the few executives familiar with the show to remain at Disney during the production of The Goliath Chronicles. [2] Along with Eric Lewald and Kim Christianson, he took Weisman's contributions in consideration for the season, but only in what they shouldn't do and "rarely did any of the things [Weisman] suggested that they should do." [3]
Jay Fukuto later left Disney to work at MGM, where he hired Weisman in 1997 to develop Stargate: The Hunted. [4]
In 2001, Fukuto attended the Gathering of the Gargoyles, and, then as Vice President of Creative Affairs for Disney Television Animation, looked into the development of a Gargoyles DVD. [5][6] He later attended the 2006 and 2009 Gathering of the Gargoyles conventions.
