History
The prince was the oldest son of the Oba of the Houka tribe and was considered the prized son of both the Panther Queen and the city of Kara Digi.
When the Panther Queen fulfilled her obligation to Anansi and was turned back into a panther, she found she missed her human children and begged the spider to transform them into panthers. The spider tricker agreed to let her have only one of her children if she hunted for him and brought him food. She did just that and then marked her eldest son. But not wanting to lose his source for food, Anansi told the prince of the deal and encouraged him to kill the Panther Queen. But when he found her, he realized she had chosen him out of love and joined her as a panther.
