History
Japan has been inhabited by humans and gargoyles since ancient times. The native gargoyles are responsible for the local legends of the tengu.
Japan was one of the major countries involved in World War II, though peace has come to the country in modern times.
The capital of Japan is the huge metropolis of Tokyo. In contrast, Ishimura is a small, rural village in Japan.
Ishimura served as a stop for the Avalon World Tour in 1996 and Vinnie Grigori took a security job offered by Taro in Japan later that year. It will also serve as a location visited by Brooklyn during his adventures as the Timedancer.
Japan is home to one gargoyle clan, the Ishimura Clan.
