The Stone of Scone was one of the names of the Stone of Destiny. ("Rock of Ages")
This title refers to the time between 843 and 1296 when the Stone was kept at Scone in Scotland, and the Kings of Scotland were crowned upon it. (This period ended when Edward I of England carried the Stone off to London.)
