Welcome to GargWiki, your guide to the world of Gargoyles. The primary focus of the wiki is the Gargoyles Universe as envisioned by Greg Weisman, which includes the first two seasons of Gargoyles, the new comic book and spin-offs being published by Slave Labor Graphics. Information from the TV and SLG comics series can be found in the Canon category.

Over the past decade, Greg Weisman has revealed many secrets and plans he had for the Gargoyles Universe including spin-offs and new characters. Entries on these revelations are located in the Canon-in-training category.

Some canon entries contain text written in bold, blue type. This signifies, for easy distinction, Canon-in-training material in a primarily Canon entry.

Finally, the Apocrypha category is dedicated to non-canon Gargoyles material, such as The Goliath Chronicles, the Marvel Comic, the Disney Adventures comic and the Sega Genesis videogame.

Oberon is a member of the Third Race and their current leader. In fact, another term for the Third Race is Oberon's Children. He is also the sovereign ruler of Avalon and one of the most powerful of the Third Race. His wife and queen is Titania.

Oberon's strong magical abilities allow him to reign over the Third Race and control them despite many of their own powerful abilities. He once froze Odin in place and completely removed Banshee's use of her voice. Despite his power, Oberon, like all of the Third Race, has some weaknesses. His energy is not infinite and if he can be forced to use up enough of it, he can be temporarily weakened. The greatest threat to him, however, is iron. His magic cannot affect the material and using iron against him as a weapon, can greatly hurt him. The Avalon Clan used this weakness when Oberon demanded they leave Avalon. They constructed an iron bell which, when struck several times, nearly killed Oberon. Their decision to allow Oberon to live resulted in their being named the Honor Guard of Avalon. (more...)
