Talk:Wyvern Clan (future)

I think it might be presuming to much to assume that the new Wyvern clan will be predominantly made up of gargoyles from the Manhattan, Labyrinth, or Avalon clans. I think it's a good hypothesis since members of these clans would have the most reason to take up residence in Wyvern and it just seems fitting storywise to have the new Wyvern clan be descended from the original Wyvern clan. But on the other hand, it sounds like Goliath (possibly along with some of the other founding members of the Manhattan clan) is going to become a hero to gargoyles all over the world. So it is possible that gargoyles from various clans which may or may not include the aforementioned three would decide to recolonize Wyvern because of its historical significance to gargoylekind. Plus I'm not sure that the Manhattan and Labyrinth clans will be big enough to have the spare members to found a new clan, even late into the 2100s. The Avalon clan might and that would make sense with the new Wycern clan's traditional outlook, since the first generation of the Avalon clan was raised by people who think of the tenth century as recent history. And on top of that, we may see a lot of London clan gargoyles om the new Wyvern clan since it's relatively close by and the London clan gargoyles would probably be thrilled to be free of the need for strictly enforced population control. I think it's very likely that we'll see at least some Scottish gargoyles in the new Wyvern clan, but I don't think we can assume it in the way that we can assume Elisa will be dead by 2198. (As a side note, I do think we'll be able to move the earliest date this clan could have been founded from 1996 to 1997, since I doubt anyone is going to found a new clan in Wyvern, Scotland without at least telling the Manhattan clan. Plus I personally doubt that we'll see any new clans founded until the existing ones are more stable and safe, but I could be wrong.) -- Demonskrye 15:35, 4 June 2008 (CDT)

I asked, Greg told:

I suppose we could cite this question in the entry. -- Matt 16:18, 4 June 2008 (CDT)
Objection cheerfully withdrawn. I think the citation is a good idea. -- Demonskrye 17:46, 4 June 2008 (CDT)
