The Irish Clans were several clans of gargoyles that lived in Ireland during ancient times. [1]

History

Sometime around the 1st Century AD, the Hound of Ulster came from one of the Irish Clans, and it seems likely that at that time Cu Chullain knew of them as well.

Their protectorates (besides their own rookeries) and their connection (if any) to other local people (for example, humans or Sidhe) are unknown. However, when Donalbain lived in Ireland in exile in the 11th Century, he learn to appreciate the gargoyle clans there. He told his brother Canmore of this in an attempt to spare the lives of the Northumbria Clan in 1093, but Canmore, as Hunter was unswayed and destroyed the gargoyles anyway. ("Fools Rush In...")

By 1996, the Irish Clan was extinct, and had probably been destroyed by humans centuries before then. [2]

Characteristics

All that is known about the physical characteristics of these clans is that they are likely somewhat Celtic in appearance. [3]

Known Members

The Hound of Ulster - A gargoyle beast member of the clan at some point around the 1st Century AD. [4]
