Helios is a New Olympian, and a member of the security force under Taurus that guards the island.
History
When Goliath, Elisa Maza, Angela and Bronx arrived on New Olympus during the Avalon World Tour, Helios was one of the first New Olympians to encounter them. He was shocked to see a human and quick to attack before Taurus reigned him in. The security force quickly arrested Elisa.
Helios' unfavorable disposition towards humans caused him to harass the travelers and participate in the riot that led to Elisa's second arrest. He continued the riot outside Elisa's cell, even throwing fireballs at her cell window. Taurus dispersed the fight and threatened Helios with losing his job if he didn't control his pyrotechnics.
When Proteus escaped his cell, Elisa attempted to tell Helios, but his prejudice made him unwilling to listen. Elisa had to fight him and steal his chariot in order to save the island from Proteus. ("The New Olympians")
After the New Olympians make contact with the outside world, Helios will join Jove's faction, which believes that the New Olympians should hold sway over humans once more, as they did in ancient times. [1]
