Leith is a port and district in north Edinburgh, Scotland.

History

On 15 November 1996, after switching out the Stone of Destiny in a Land Rover on the Coldstream Bridge with a duplicate bound for Edinburgh Castle, David Xanatos intended to swap out the Stone once more at a warehouse in Leith to fool the Illuminati. [1] After the Spirit of Destiny told him that it would be pointless to substitute a second stone, Xanatos met with Fleur, and reported few problems in acquiring the Stone from Westminster Abbey. Fleur then left Leith warehouse with the Stone from Westminster to Castle Carbonek. ("Rock of Ages")

Real World Background

Leith's oldest known records date to 1128, when King Dauid I founded Holyrood Abbey – which later expanded its guest house to become what is now known as Holyrood Palace, a residence of the Scottish royal family possibly as far back as the 14th Century (with Robert the Bruce) and the British royal family since the 16th Century (with James VI of Scotland, before also becoming James I of England in 1603).

Leith was briefly its own town in the 19th Century before merging with Edinburgh in 1920.
