Mayan Clan - a clan of gargoyles that has been living in the pyramid of Chac Ix Chel in Guatemala for at least a thousand years.
History
The Mayan clan has been living in Chac Ix Chel since at least the tenth century. In 990, a human wizard creates the Mayan Sun Amulet and the four pendants it powers and gives them to members of the Mayan Clan.
Characteristics
Members of the Mayan clan seem to come in two varieties. One variety appears very much as the members of Scottish descent, with the addition of a crest. The second variety appears much like Quetzlquotl of myth, with a snakelike lower body, feathered wings, and reptilian features. According to Greg Weisman, in future generations, one may see a blending of features, such as the top of Obsidiana, and the bottom of Zafiro.
