Shahrizad is an immortal human woman – a scholar, wanderer, and whispered confidante of Thailog. Some call her a storyteller; others, a collector of truths disguised as tales. She moves between worlds with practiced ease: an initiated member of the Illuminati Society in one breath, a quiet presence in the shadowed corners of the Labyrinth in the next. Yet when night falls, she is most often found within the Nightstone Unlimited Building, where she is known simply as "Shari".

Her first appearance to fans came in "Invitation Only", the third issue of the Gargoyles comic series – marking the arrival of the first wholly new canon character in over a decade. Like any good tale-teller, she did not shout for attention; she merely spoke, and readers leaned closer to listen. Since then, Shahrizad has inspired theories and speculation worthy of her own parables, for her history is revealed in fragments . . . and always with purpose.

Within the Gargoyles Universe, she serves not only as narrator but as curator of memory. Through her voice, forgotten lore resurfaces, secrets take shape, and the boundaries between history and myth blur.
