Lunfanan Hill is a hill located near Castle Moray. It was here that Macbeth was forced to say good-bye to Gruoch twice: first in 1032 when he urged her to marry Gillecomgain, and she walked away from him, and once again in 1057 when he "died" at the Battle of Lunfanan and Gruoch urged him disappear to ensure victory for Luach; that time, he walked away from her.
