Heloise Reynard was the wife of Blaise Reynard.
Contents
History
Heloise was the wife of Blaise Reynard and the mother of their son, Martin-Pêcheur. By 1138, her marriage to Blaise had deteriorated as she felt he was neglecting to provide for his family due to his ego-driven "artistic integrity"; and choosing to spend his time at the local tavern. Unbeknownst to Heloise, her husband's contempt for her grew to the point where he would dream of her death - carving her name into a tombstone - and he spent his time lusting after the tavern maid, Nicolette Villom. She was furious when Demona and Angelika appeared on the roof of the Vyones Cathedral, believing that Blaise carved them for free.
Heloise was soon murdered by Grimalkin, a Stone Golem carved by her husband that embodied his wrath. Blaise perished soon after leaving their son orphaned. ("For Not Everything With Wings...")
Characteristics
Heloise believed strongly in integrity - and would remind her husband that true integrity was forgoing his pride in "artistic integrity" in the interests of providing for his family rather than feed his own ego. While her feelings for her husband had deteriorated to contempt, she appeared to be a devoted and loving mother.
