The faux Eye of Odin 1195.

The Fake Eye of Odin was a duplicate Demona used in her plot to steal the true talisman from the Great Palace's archives in Constantinople.

History

Demona commissioned the forgery from an Antioch Smith before she and Angelika returned to Constantinople in 1125. While Angelika reunited with Magni in the throne room, Demona met with the Emperor's archivist, Abu Jafar Ahmad Ibn Yusuf Ibn Al-Kammad, eventually introducing herself as "Angel". He was quickly impressed with Angel's recollection of King Sigurd Magnusson's meeting with Emperor Alexios Komnenos, eighty-four years earlier and soon became distracted when Angel brought up astronomy . . . Al-Kammad's one true love. He never noticed the theft with his back turned, and likely never knew he would be killed moments later by another party – the gargoyle Modi – that wanted the trinket for his own reasons. Characteristics

Compared to the true Eye of Odin, it was considered an accurate enough duplicate to fool Al-Kammad, his murderer, and possibly the murderer's accomplice.
