The Iron Clan are much larger iron-clad versions of the Steel Clan robots.

History
An Iron Clan Robot saves Broadway.
They were commissioned by Owen Burnett and used against Oberon in 1996 when he attempted to kidnap the infant Alexander. They were all destroyed, however.
David Xanatos built at least one more Iron Clan robot, however, to use against the gargoyles in London. ("The Gathering" Part Two, "Rock & Roll")

Production Background
Greg Weisman describes the Iron Clan to be about twenty feet tall, far larger than their Steel Clan counterparts. He notes, however, that there's little in "The Gathering" Part Two that indicates their proper scale. [1]
