Merlin's Cave

Merlin's Cave is located in Wales. Sometime during King Arthur Pendragon's reign in Britain, Merlin stored various belongings of his, such as his lyre and his memoirs, deep inside. [1] Merlin personally placed a magical safety spell on the chest containing the Scrolls of Merlin, leaving the warning (written in ancient Celtic), "the seeker of knowledge need fear nothing here; the destroyer, everything." [2]
Archaeologists Lydia Duane and Arthur Morwood-Smyth discovered the cave on September 7, 1995. [3] There, they found the chest and were confirmed by Merlin's security spell as seekers of knowledge, granting them access to the Scrolls of Merlin. ("A Lighthouse in the Sea of Time")
