I don't think it's reached the point where this is necessary yet, but keep in mind that this article should be used for common misconceptions and urban legends about Gargoyles. Theories that you've only seen one person bring up or ideas from fanfics aren't what we should be taking on here. -- Demonskrye 06:57, 8 June 2008 (CDT)

About "Gargoyles were awake during the day on Avalon"... when the show originally aired, it appeared to be daylight during that flashback with the hatchlings. Demona also had white hair in her flashback. They were mistakes that were corrected for later viewings. I don't have a screenshot of this yet, but I'll get one after I finish burning the original airings of the episodes on DVD. DTaina 08:35, 8 June 2008 (CDT)

Finally got the screenshots uploaded. It's the hatchlings running around in daylight: [1] [2] [3] DTaina 10:51, 25 June 2008 (CDT)
Cool! I re-edited the section to reflect where the misconception came from. it's too bad these screencaps are in such bad shape, though there's obviously not much anyone can do about that. I think we should add at least one to the article to verify the claim. Any thoughts on which is the clearest and best shows that it's daytime? (We could also grab one of the corrected shots to put with it to show how the scene looked in subsequent airings. Espceially easy since DTaina already grabbed those.) -- Demonskrye 13:55, 25 June 2008 (CDT)
I could clean up one of the pics, if you want (when I get back from The Gathering, of course). Maybe the Gabriel pic. It's the most obvious one with the big white cloud in the background. Oh, and I think Greg Weisman has the original airings of the episodes on tape. They must be in better shape than my tapes. Anyone want to talk him into sending me copies?  ;) I'm kidding! Angela's eggs

I've commented out the line about Angela's eggs being raised communally. I don't think she'd raise them "like a human", but I don't think we have enough information to say they will be raised communally. For one thing, do we know for sure that there will be other rookery parents around to help raise Angela's hatchlings? Also, do we know that there will be other eggs for her to raise besides her own children? -- Supermorff 14:45, 6 January 2009 (CST)

Greg has indicated that this will be the case. --GregX 14:48, 6 January 2009 (CST)

Kurt Lehner

What is this about?--Matt 10:41, 24 August 2014 (PDT)

Apparently, an artist who did designs for one or two episodes of "The Goliath Chronicles" is attending conventions, selling lithographs of Goliath, Demona, Xanatos, etc and, according to some second hand accounts, taking credit for the character designs of the characters and series. Again, these are second hand accounts, but they seem to be piling up.

Here's his WizardWorld bio: http://www.wizardworld.com/kurtlehner.html Here's his website: http://kurtlehner.blogspot.com/ Here's an interview he did for "Graphically Christian Comics" (where he was careful to word things so that he didn't actually LIE, but would cause the interviewer (who clearly hadn't done very much research) and the average listener to take misconceptions.): http://graphiclychristian.com/kurt-lehner-character-designer-for-gargoyles-interview/ Here he is saying that he was the "Senior Character Designer for Gargoyles": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIkKRYfFX6Q&feature=youtu.be&t=1m11s

So far, all of this information is second hand, but if you do a google search on "Kurt Lehner Gargoyles", I've seen several people coming away from his booth with this misconception. I haven't seen it myself, so I can't be sure what he is saying, Karine Charlebois had an encounter with him once, saying he goes to cons behaving like this big shot "Gargoyles" artist, exaggerating his resume by a considerable amount. I've seen this here and there over the past year or so, but now there's a lot more accounts about this. --GregX 11:31, 24 August 2014 (PDT)
