Egyptian Smith
The Egyptian Smith was a prisoner of Sigurd Magnusson's army.
History
In December 1110, following the Siege of Sidon, Skade found the jewel to the Eye of Odin, Sigurd's "lucky charm". She informed the Norse king that one of their prisoners was a Smith from Egypt that could reset the stone.
A month later, the Egyptian Smith finished his work, and Skade delivered the repaired Eye of Odin to Sigurd. Asking if it met his approval, the King thanked the gargoyle, considering the handiwork "fine". He later gifted the Eye of Odin to Byzantine Emperor Alexios Komnenos for his hospitality.
