Guardian's Sword

Guardian's Sword is a weapon wielded by Tom, the Guardian of the Eggs.

History

Guardian forged the sword (with great difficulty) between 995 and 1195. When he arrived in Constantinople, it was confiscated by the gargoyle Modi when Tom was briefly considered a suspect in the murder of Emperor Isaac Angelos's archivist. During the investigation, Modi swapped his own sword with Guardian's to frame him for the murder, but Modi's brother Magni recognized the murder weapon as the twin to his own sword, and Guardian's name was ultimately cleared. Shortly after, Guardian was allowed to collect his sword before returning to Avalon. ("Fallen From the Ranks...")

After arriving in Manhattan to find Goliath in 1995, Guardian's armor and weapon caught the attention of the Street Thugs. Guardian made short work of them before he yielded to the authority of Officer Morgan. ("Avalon" Part One)

Guardian later used his sword to strike the Iron Bell the Avalon Clan forged seventeen times, bringing Oberon to his knees. Guardian refrained from striking one last time, sparing the Lord of Avalon. ("Ill Met By Moonlight")

Characteristics

Given that Guardian didn't contribute his sword in the forging of the Iron Bell, it is likely made of steel, or some other blend. [1] It is also heavier than it looks, as Officer Morgan can attest.
