Laboratory (Wyvern)
The Laboratory is located in a tower of Castle Wyvern. In the Dark Ages, it was where the castle sorcerer resided and conducted their business. In modern times, David Xanatos has converted it to a laboratory.
History
The tower was constructed with the Castle, beginning in 971. By the time it was completed, the Archmage took residence here and continued to train his apprentice, Angel in sorcery. From here he ordered Angel to steal the Phoenix Gate from Princess Elena. After casting Angel off as his apprentice, it is presumed that he trained the Magus here. ("Vows") In 994, the Magus thumbed through the Grimorum Arcanorum and marked the Sleep Spell for later use. ("Awakening Part One")
After rebuilding the castle atop the Eyrie Building, David Xanatos modernized the tower into a laboratory. In 1995, he and Demona through a combination of science and sorcery resurrected the souls of "Othello", "Desdemona", "Iago" as the cybernetic, re-animated stone zombie: Coldstone. In 1996, Xanatos attempted to separate the souls of "Desdemna" and "Iago" into Coldfire and Coldsteel but was unsuccessful with just science. ("Reawakening", "Possession")
Later in 1996, Owen Burnett found Delilah in the laboratory. ("Bash")
Characteristics
During the Dark Ages, the laboratory was covered in the Archmage and the Magus's magical trinkets, potions, and the like. In modern times, the most advanced technology can be found in the laboratory.
