The Tazmanian Tiger is an Australian super villain. He is named after the tasmanian tiger, an extinct marsupial that was once native to Tasmania, an island state south of the Australian mainland.
History
In late 1996, the Tazmanian Tiger attempted rob a building in Sydney. He was quickly, and easily, foiled by Dingo and Matrix ("Strangers").
Characteristics
The Tazmanian Tiger is a human male. He wears a gaudy, skin-tight costume and mask, with razor sharp claws on his fingers, and also uses two actual Thylacines (more commonly known as tasmanian tigers) named Benjamin and Natasha. How he obtained these creatures is unknown, although comments by Tazmanian Tiger indicate that, as in the real world, Thylacines are or have been extinct in the Gargoyles universe.
