The purpose of the GargWiki is to hopefully be used as the ultimate reference tool for the animated series Gargoyles, as envisioned by Greg Weisman. As such, the primary focus of the wiki is the first two seasons of Gargoyles and the new comic book and the spin-offs being published by Slave Labor Graphics, in the Canon category.

Over the past decade, Greg Weisman revealed many secrets and plans he had for the Gargoyles Universe including spin-offs and new characters. Entries on these revelations are located in the Canon-in-training category.

Some canon entries contain text written in bold, blue type. This signifies, for easy distinction, Canon-in-training material in a primarily Canon entry.

Finally, the Apocrypha category is dedicated to non-canon Gargoyles material, such as The Goliath Chronicles, the Marvel Comic, the Disney Adventures comic and the Sega Genesis videogame.

Feature Wyvern Dragon.JPG

Wyvern is a massive and long lived dragon. He is responsible for bringing the ancestors of the Wyvern Clan to Wyvern Hill to protect the area and, specifically, to protect his lair and treasury in a nearby cave. Later, he became a member of the Illuminati and their chief treasurer at Eastcheap.

Wyvern is a gargate, or as he calls their kind, "Stone Flesh". He recognizes gargoyles as his "cousins" and is reluctant to harm them. He is very distrustful and prejudiced against humans. His senses are very acute, particularly his sense of smell. He is able to smell nearby humans and could even tell Thailog was not a typical gargoyle. He also has the ability to sense when humans touch his treasure. Over the centuries his treasury has included items such as Puck's Flute, Excalibur, and the haft of Gugnir. (more...)
