Jean Valjean

Jean Valjean is a human from France, and the protagonist of Les Misérables. Greg Weisman has revealed that Valjean existed in the Gargoyles Universe, but aside from that, nothing else has been revealed [1].

However, it is interesting to note that the Director was reporting to a mysterious Frenchman called Monsieur Le Maire. "Monsieur Le Maire" was a title Valjean held in the novel when he was the mayor of Montreuil-sur-Mer.
