Tad Stones was a writer and producer at Walt Disney Television Animation. His notable credits include producing Darkwing Duck, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Aladdin, Disney's Hercules and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. He also produced the unmade Team Atlantis series. [1] He penned the second story of Darkwing Duck Annual #1 in 2011.

His major contribution to Gargoyles was when he suggested that a "big, heroic gargoyle" be added to the cast as a dramatic male lead. From that suggestion, Greg Weisman created Goliath. In 2006, Tad Stones attended the Gathering of the Gargoyles.
