"Hyppolyta" is a gargoyle member of the Wyvern Clan in 971 AD. Like most of her clan, she had no name, but "Hyppolyta" is used to identify her. Having hatched in the clan's rookery in 938, she is a rookery sister to many famous gargoyles including Goliath, Demona, and Coldstone.
"Hyppolyta" is a tall and strong warrior and despite her age (and orders from the Rhydderch of her clan) chose to participate in the battle against King Culen and his men. In battle, she is fierce and savage and was even noted by another gargoyle as being something of a "berserker". Unfortunately, her disobedience led to the death of a clan elder during the battle. She was shocked by this, but continued to be defiant and eager for battle. "Hyppolyta" would assist in the construction of Castle Wyvern and the battle against Wyvern the Dragon. (more...)
