The Commemoration of Heroes is a monument erected in London by the local clan of gargoyles following the Battle of Britain. The monument depicts statues of Griff and Goliath standing atop the wings of a spitfire.
History
Following the Battle of Britain, the London Clan believed that Griff and Goliath perished as heroes and a monument was erected near the River Thames. In 1996, Goliath, Elisa Maza, Angela, and Bronx encountered the statue while on the world tour which presented a mystery to them. A local cabbie explained that it was a momunemt to "the blitz" and when Elisa asked if gargoyles fought in the war, the cabbie brough her to Into the Mystic. ("M.I.A.")
