Into the Mystic.

Into the Mystic is a shop in Soho, London, owned and operated by the London gargoyles; Leo and Una presently serve as the shopkeepers.

History

Goliath, Leo, Una, and Griff in 1940.

The shop was founded over five hundred years ago (before the Tudor dynasty), and helps finance the London Clan, such as pay taxes for the land at Knight's Spur. [1][2] William Shakespeare and Macbeth (under an alias like Lennox Macduff) often found themselves visiting the shop after a night out on the town. [3][4]

In 1940, Goliath arrived with the Phoenix Gate to figure out what happened to Griff during the Battle of Britain. After Goliath helped him fight the Nazis, Griff invited him to the clan's shop, where Goliath meets (for the second time) Leo and Una. After being offered tea, Goliath promised to keep Griff safe, but the two gargoyles did not return that night. ("M.I.A.")

In 1996, when the World Travelers arrive in London, they were confronted by Leo and Una, who accused Goliath of leading Griff to his demise. Goliath's confusion and denial compel both Leo and Una to kidnap Elisa Maza, Angela, and Bronx. Left with little other option, Goliath traveled back in time to investigate. Goliath returned shortly after to his present, reuniting Griff with his loved ones. ("M.I.A.")

Characteristics

Into the Mystic's sign.
Inside Into the Mystic.

The shop's products consist of magical supplies of various kinds, much of it fake. [5] The shop is only open at night but does employ humans as well. [6] Some customers are aware of the shop's actual magical merchandise. [7] Mail for the clan comes here rather than at Knight's Spur. [8] The gargoyle shopkeepers use this atmosphere to help disguise their true nature, pretending that they are wearing costumes of mythical beings. ("M.I.A.")
