Welcome to GargWiki,

Goliath and Lexington

GargWiki is the ultimate reference guide to the world of Disney's Gargoyles! Although this site contains information on anything and everything relating to Gargoyles, the primary focus of the wiki is the canonical Gargoyles Universe, as envisioned by creator Greg Weisman. This includes the first two seasons of the television show, the comic book series by Slave Labor Graphics, and the current comic series by Dynamite Entertainment.

Since 2006, GargWiki has been an invaluable resource to fans, old and new, looking to better familiarize themselves with Gargoyles. Exploring GargWiki is as easy as using the search bar at the top right of the screen, or browsing the site using our category system (the top-level categories are listed in the banner at the top of this page).

But remember: GargWiki is always growing, and you can help out! To contribute, visit our Community Portal, which has tips for getting started and a list of useful jobs you can do.

So come on in, and welcome to the world of Gargoyles!

Did you know . . . by 1999, Goliath and Elisa Maza will have a Commitment Ceremony?

New to GargWiki?

Category:Canon covers in-universe information, detailing not only characters, places, and objects, but also real world information, including the relevant television episodes and comic issues.

Additional real world topics, including cast and crew members, animation studios, and merchandise can be found in Category:Out-of-universe.

After the series ended in 1996, Greg Weisman revealed many secrets and plans he had for the Gargoyles Universe, including spin-offs and new characters. Entries on these revelations are located in Category:Canon-in-training.

Some canon entries contain text written in bold, blue type. This signifies, for easy distinction, Canon-in-training material in a primarily Canon entry.

Finally, Category:Apocrypha is dedicated to non-canon Gargoyles material, such as The Goliath Chronicles, the Marvel Comics series, Radio Plays, and more recent comic crossovers.

The CV-1000 Carrier Virus is a sophisticated viral agent designed by Anton Sevarius on orders from Dominique Destine. The virus, which was manufactured by Nightstone Unlimited, was seemingly harmless on its own, but could be combined with antigens (creating an infectious cure) or pathogens (causing an infectious disease). Demona's true motive for creating the virus was not to profit by it, but rather to use it in Operation Clean Slate.

Using sorcery, Demona combined the CV-1000 with the disinfectant D/I-7 to create a plague that would wipe out all intelligent life on Earth. Due to the actions of Goliath, however, Demona's scheme was foiled and the CV-1000 never fulfilled its purpose. A short time later, Sevarius would create the CV-1997 Carrier Virus with very similar properties. (more...)
