Welcome to GargWiki, the ultimate reference guide to the world of Disney's Gargoyles! Although GargWiki contains information on anything and everything relating to Gargoyles, the primary focus of the wiki is the canonical Gargoyles Universe, as envisioned by creator Greg Weisman. This includes the first two seasons of the television show, the comic book series by Slave Labor Graphics and the current comic series by Dynamite Entertainment.

GargWiki is an invaluable resource to fans of Gargoyles and a great way to familiarize yourself with the series if you're new to the property. Feel free to look for your favorite characters with our search bar on the left of the screen or browse the site using our category system (the top-level categories are listed in the banner at the top of this page).

New to GargWiki?

Category:Canon covers in-universe information, detailing not only characters, places, and objects, but also real world information, including the relevant television episodes and comic issues.

Additional real world topics, including cast and crew members, animation studios, and merchandise can be found in Category:Out-of-universe.

After the series ended in 1996, Greg Weisman revealed many secrets and plans he had for the Gargoyles Universe, including spin-offs and new characters. Entries on these revelations are located in Category:Canon-in-training.

Some canon entries contain text written in bold, blue type. This signifies, for easy distinction, Canon-in-training material in a primarily Canon entry.

Finally, Category:Apocrypha is dedicated to non-canon Gargoyles material, such as The Goliath Chronicles, the Marvel Comics series, Radio Plays, and more recent comic crossovers.

Goliath is a male gargoyle and leader of the Manhattan Clan, and as such he is also the first lead of the entire series. He was voiced by Keith David in the animated series.

Goliath is a powerful and ferocious warrior, often short on temper, but he is also intelligent, highly literate, and has a strong moral center. It was at Goliath's urging that his clan chose to dedicate themselves to protecting Manhattan Island and its human inhabitants, and he has also dedicated his own life to bringing about peaceful coexistence between humans and gargoyles.

Because of his importance to the Gargoyles Universe, many stories heavily involve his relationships with other characters. In particular, his romantic relationship with the human Elisa Maza, with its Beauty and the Beast overtones, remains one of the most popular aspects of the series. (more...)
