Les Misérables

Les Misérables is a French novel written by Victor Hugo in 1862. Monsieur Le Maire is one of several Parisian characters featured in the story. The novel covers a timeframe of seventeen years, from 1815 to 1832. [1]
The basic events and figures in Jean Valjean's life – including the Revolution of the Barricades and its failure – happened in the Gargoyles Universe. [2][3][4]
