Apple Orchard
The Apple Orchard is located near Oberon's Palace on Avalon.
History
Following their failed effort to ambush the Archmage and Weird Sisters at the Grotto, the Archmage reneged on his promise to wait until dawn for his next attack and sent his enchanted foot soldiers, Demona and Macbeth to the orchard. When the two were spotted in the orchard by Gabriel, the newly awakened Arthur Pendragon decided to lead the defense of the Palace with Guardian, Gabriel, and Elisa Maza at his side. During the conflict, Guardian, Gabriel, and Elisa took on Demona while King Arthur faced Macbeth. It was here that they learned of Demona and Macbeth's Corsican link. While King Arthur managed to subdue Macbeth (pinning him to an apple tree and punching him out), Demona managed to advance to Oberon's Palace. ("Avalon" Part Three)

Real World Background
It is fitting that there would be an apple orchard on Avalon, as it was described in 1136 as "The Isle of Apples" by Geoffrey of Monmouth in his Historia Regum Britanniae (The History of the Kings of Britain). Indeed, it is believed the name 'Avalon' originates from several languages meaning "apple", including the Gaulish Aval, the Welsh Afal, and the Old Irish Aball [2][3][4] More information can be found on the Avalon page.
