History
When Elisa was still trying to solve her first case as a detective, involving the missing landlord Clarence Huxley, Elisa's partner tried (and failed) to convince her to take a break on the investigation. More cynical than his junior partner, he reminded her that if she prioritized every case that came her way with an equal level of intensity, it would only be a matter of time before the job ate her alive. He failed to convince her of that too. ("Stone Cold Case")
By 1994, Elisa was working solo, and would not have another partner until Matt Bluestone joined the 23rd Precinct in 1995. ("Awakening: Part One", "The Edge")
