Recon One was a helicopter belonging to the NYPD.

History
On the night of the Hunter's Moon in 1996, Recon One spotted the Manhattan Clan and alerted the Gargoyle Taskforce before pursuing the gargoyles to Saint Damien's Cathedral where it continued to keep a look out. When the gargoyles emerged, Recon One ordered the clan to stop where they were before firing warning shots at them. The clan was soon saved by David Xanatos in his own helicopter.
